In the Blink of an Eye

Every time we blink,
a moment passes,
our life is altered,
children grow up,
flowers bloom and wilt,
feathers float away.
Life flies,
uninterrupted,
passing us by
and we forget
to take the time,
to really see...
We can't remember our youth,
our passions die,
we are blind.
Hold out your hand,
look in my eyes,
hold on tight because
this moment, too, will go by
in the blink of an eye.
